Museu d'Arqueologia de Catalunya or Archaeological Museum of Catalonia (MAC) is Barcelona's major treasure trove of regional artifacts from ancient history, which exhibits archaeological findings from Catalonia from different periods. The main objective of MAC is to research, preserve and disseminate archaeological remains that illustrate historical evolution from prehistoric times through to the medieval period. The Museum is divided into a network of museums and archaeological sites. The Roman remains are some of the most interesting exhibits in the museum.
