Formerly been an ancient fortress surrounded by Christian houses, the museum is located in Casa De Los Tiros and is significantly known for paintings from 17th to 19th centuries. Inaugurated in 1929, the museum features all the historical items in a chronological fashion, right from 16th century till 20th century. Traditional textiles, ceramics, Baroque sculpture of Granada and some special 19th century furniture are the primary items on display in the museum. Moreover, drawings, engravings, lithographs and photographs related to history of the city are also featured in the museum.
