Being the only tram museum, it is housed in a historic Depot Burgwies, portraying the history of Zurich tram museum. The museum houses around 20 historical trams and visitors get an opportunity to explore then in their operational state. It contains not only the trams owned by Zurich city, but there are trams which are privately owned other companies. Moreover, the museum also features a model tramway layout showing the city street scenes. There are several important documents and photographs as well as models showcased in the museum.
