City: Montreal
Description:

Inaugurated in 1932, this grand old white villa was built as a make-work project during the Great Depression. The walls of its spacious interior are decorated with artwork depicting various scenes from Canadian history, including paintings by famous artists. But the main reason for which most of the people flock to this part of the city is the Kondiaronk lookout, which provides spectacular views of the Downtown Montreal.
