This is a Canadian public research university and one of two universities in Montreal where English is used as the primary language of instruction. Concordia is a major contributor to the economic, cultural and social development of Montreal and Quebec, and Loyola is one of its two campuses which actually started out as Loyola College before merging with Sir George Williams University to form Concordia University.
