City: Montreal
Description:

A National Historic Site of Canada, the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue Canal links Lake Saint-Louis and Lake of Two Mountains at the very westernmost point of Montreal Island, making a popular tourist attraction that offers picnic tables, boat launch and park land. Originally used for commercial purposes, the canal became an integral part of the Montreal-Ottawa-Kingston inland navigation route. It is now used mostly for pleasure boating.
