The Museo Nacional de Arte (MUNAL) showcases the history of Mexican art from mod-sixteenth century to mid-twentieth century. Museum's art work has been divided into three distinct periods. The first covers the period from 1550 to 1821; second displays the first century after independence and the third exhibits the period between the Mexican Revolution and 1950s.
