Popular as the largest science museum in the Western Hemisphere, Museum of Science and Industry is housed in the Palace of Fine Arts in the Hyde Park area of Chicago. Home to over 35,000 artifacts and hands-on exhibits displayed in 14 acres of area makes it an educational and fun place for the kids as well as adults. Climb aboard a World War II German submarine, have the chance to stand before a 40-foot tornado or transmit your pulse to a 13-foot, 3-D, beating heart; there are many such activities and lessons to learn around in this museum.
