City: Los Angeles
Description:

The Pantages Theatre is one of the most lavish movie palaces designed in the Art Deco style, opened on June 4, 1930. It boasted the most elaborate sound system in the world and is decorated in a zigzag geometric design in gold and henna shades. Beneath the grand lobby are the rest rooms and lounges. The sunray effects converge from the bronze chandelier at the center of the ceiling. Above all this is a blue sky ceiling, with twinkling stars.
