Also known as Patricia and Phillip Frost Art Museum, the museum has cultural recognition, featuring collections of Latin America as well as the 20th century American Art. IT has received an accreditation to American Association of Museums in 1999; it has received the title of Miami's Best Art Museum in the year 2009. Haitian paintings, photographs, American modern sculptures and paintings are the highlights of what the museum features, where permanent collections of the museum consist of over 6,000 pieces of art.
