Description:

The oldest operating museum built in 1891, Confederate Memorial Hall Museum represents to the memorabilia of the American Civil War. The museum aims at collecting, preserving, interpreting and exhibiting authentic historical material of the war. The collections include confederate weapons, personal belongings of soldiers as well as individual items belonging to Confederate Generals Robert E. Lee, P.G.T. Beauregard, Braxton Bragg and Franklin Gardner. In addition, there are prints, paintings and photographs of soldiers and events occurred in Louisiana during the war.
