A haven away from the urban chaos, Golden Gate Park is a 1,017-acre sanctuary housing a multitude of attractions, from art museums to botanical gardens and recreation facilities. The park is one of the most visited central parks in the United States after Central Park of New York City. The sight is also home to two of the city's premier museums, the De Young Museum and the California Academy of Sciences, the Japanese Tea Gardens, the Conservatory of Flowers and an outdoor botanical garden.
