Description:
Set in Campo di Ghetto Novo between the two most ancient synagogues, the Museum of the Jewish Community gives its visitors an insight into the Jewish life in Venice over the last several centuries. It’s more than just an expository space; it is a widespread museum that displays Jewish ritual objects including Seder plates, silver Hanukkah lamps, spice boxes, and handwritten wedding contracts in Hebrew. The museum also offers a wide selection of ancient books and manuscripts, and collects precious textile manufacture, sacred furniture and objects.
