Located at Sungai Pari, the Kuil Sri Maha Mariamman has become a place of spiritual importance for Indians settled in Malaysia. At the time of its founding in 1833, the temple was known as Sri Muthu Mariamman Temple. It was only in 1980 when it became to be known by its present name, Kuil Sri Maha Mariamman.
