City: Malacca

This 54-acre zoological park, located besides Lebuh Ayer Keroh, is a well-known tourist destination in Malacca, and has progressed rapidly to be the second biggest zoo in the country. More than 1,200 specimens of over 200 species of birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians can be found at the Melaka Zoo. It was also the first zoo in Malaysia to exhibit the critically endangered Sumatran Rhinoceros. The major attractions include Malayan Gaur, Serow and the Malayan Tiger.
