The October 14 Memorial is a monument erected to preserve the memory of the civilian demonstrators killed on 14th October 1973. These people were killed by the military during a pro-democracy rally. The photographs of that disastrous day show that more than 70 demonstrators were killed by the army. The October 14 Memorial is an important attraction in Bangkok, which reflects an important day in Thai history.
