City: Berlin
Description:

Schloss Köpenick, once served as a royal residence of the Hohenzollern now serves as the Museum of Decorative Arts with exhibits showcasing a rich collection of decorative furniture, tapestries, silverware, porcelain, glass and other items from the Renaissance, baroque and rococo periods. The museum also represented a prison after 1819 and then it served as a teaching seminary before becoming a museum in 1963. Visitors can experience artworks here that are integrated with the rooms of the baroque Köpenick Castle that once functioned as wall and room ornaments within common living rooms.
