The Museum of Photographic Arts is one of the few institutions in the country dedicated to the history of photographic arts, along with works from famous photographers such as Ansel Adams. The museum's permanent collections include over 7,000 images, representing the entire history of photography, and its technological advancements. It is one of the first museums in the United States which spans the history of photography from 19th century to the present day.
