City: San Diego

Once the residence of Thomas Whaley and his family, now a museum and state historical landmark which stands today as a classic example of mid-nineteenth century Greek revival architecture, designed by Thomas himself. Constructed in 1857 and opened as a historic house museum in 1960, it is now one of south California's most popular visitor destinations. Over 100,000 people from across the globe visit this historic house museum each year.
