Being the smallest in the three pyramids of Giza, it is said to be built as a tomb of Fourth Dynasty Egyptian Pharoah Menkuare. Having an original height of 65.5 meters, its present height is around 61 meters and was constructed with limestone as well as granite. In early time, the pyramid was ignored but in early 20th century, it was explored by George Reisner.
