Located in Shanghai's Baoshan District, the Shanghai Museum of Navy consists of four exhibition halls with pictures, objects and historical data depicting the development of navy and shipbuilding industry in Shanghai. Spread across 11,000 square meters of space, the museum holds over 1,500 objects, describing the historical evolution of China's Coastal Defense and modern history of China's territorial sea. The museum also exhibits navy equipment as well as arms, ship and plane models, showroom of ships and planes, and shooting-range for light-duty arms.
