Jakarta’s major libraries which were spread out across the city were brought together in 1989 and were named as National Library of Indonesia. The National Library is itself considered as a piece of cultural heritage. This nine-story concrete building features a different collection on each floor. There are one or two reading rooms provided on each floor for the visitors to read the books.
