City: Tokyo

Located next to Tokyo Bay, Hama Rikyu is a large, attractive landscape garden surrounding Shioiri Pond and with an all-season range of flowers and flowering trees. Originally built as the duck hunting grounds during the Edo Period, Hama Rikyu later served as a strolling garden, and which now features seawater ponds which change level with the tides, and a teahouse, beautifully set on a small island where visitors can rest and enjoy the scenery.
