City: Istanbul

Arnavutköy is a historic district well-known for the prestigious Robert College campus, wooden Ottoman mansions and fish restaurants. Until the district gained its present day name, it was known by locals as Promotu, Anaplus and Hestiai. The Byzantine church of St. Michel, which was constructed by Constantine, was once situated here.
