Established in 1912, Al Ahmadiya School was the first regular school in Dubai, located in the Al-Ras area of Deira. This renovated house once belonged to Sheikh Ahmed bin Dalmouk, founder of the Al Ahmadiya School. This building dates back to 1896 when it was first erected. Newer parts had been added since then, and in 1995 it was renovated and converted into a heritage site showcasing Dubai's heritage. Most rooms have audiovisual displays and recreate traditional aspects of daily life, complete with dioramas.
