City: Auckland
Description:

Built in 1863–64 as a home for a vicar's family, this meticulously preserved historic cottage is crammed with family belongings, and is largely unchanged from Victorian days, providing great insights into colonial bulding materials and techniques as well as middle-class domestic life. It boasts more than 2,000 books, hundreds of pages of sheet music, original artworks and a vast array of daily objects. The 19th-century garden adds further charm to the visit.
