The Poldi Pezzoli Museum is a non-profit organization founded in 1881 by the collector Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli, which now stands as one of the most significant house museums in Europe. This fine museum houses an exquisite collection of art, furnishings and historic arms and armor from the 14th to the 17th century. Other notable collections include paintings from the 14th to the 19th century, sculptures, glass, clocks, porcelain, carpets and tapestries, furniture and jewelry. The museum also organizes exhibitions in both Italy and abroad, and also co-ordinates researches and publications.
