Description:
Located in the heart of metropolitan Los Angeles, the Page Museum at the La Brea Tar Pits is one of the world's greatest sources of Ice Age fossils. The displays include saber-toothed cats, dire wolves, short-faced bears, ground sloths and mammoths from 10,000 to 40,000-year-old asphalt deposits. Visitors can also watch the scientists at work in the excavation pits and in the museum's 'fish bowl' lab.
