The third largest church in Quebec, Mary Queen of the World Cathedral, inspired by St. Peter Basilica in Rome, makes a particularly striking sight and it's certainly one of the most beautiful churches in the city. Considered a minor basilica in the Catholic Church, this cathedral was built at the end of the 19th century and the orders to build the church came from Monsignor Ignace Bourget, the second bishop of Montreal.
