Denzuin is a Buddhist temple built in 1415 that puts emphasis on spreading Buddhism throughout Japan. Though it does not make a prominent tourist attraction, it must have been very special for its founder Tokugawa Ieyasu, who dedicated it to his mother. The cemetery behind the temple has great historical significance as graves of many prominent women associated with the Tokugawa family can be found there.
