One of Sydney's most beautiful urban parklands, Headland Park which encompasses Chowder Bay, Georges Heights and Middle Head, provides magnificent harbor views, a lookout, walking tracks, fortifications, tunnels and heritage buildings. For almost 150 years Georges Heights was a strategic vantage point used by the military for the protection of Sydney. There are several well placed cafes and restaurants within the park, along with tennis courts and sports oval, childcare centre and various recreational facilities, in a wonderful bushland setting.
