Known as Caricature Museum in English, it was opened to preserve and promote the history of Mexican cartooning. The permanent collection which is housed on the ground floor starts with mostly political cartoons. The museum has hosted various exhibitions featuring the cartoon works of famous artists such as Frida Kahlo and José Clemente Orozco. Museo de la Caricatura also offers workshops dedicated to cartooning as well as various types of drawing.
