City: Cairo
Description:

For a country with such a long agricultural history, it's not a surprise to find a museum in Cairo dedicated to Egypt's farming past. Founded in 1930, the Agricultural Museum is one of Cairo's hidden gems with 100,000 square meters of garden grounds and buildings occupying 20,000 square meters of area. The former palace of Princess Fatima, daughter of Khedive Ismail, which now houses the Agricultural Museum, was chosen to be remodeled in November 1930. The museum was the very first of its kind in the world, which now houses laboratories, greenhouses, a botanical garden and themed halls.
