City: Sydney
Description:

This is a 60 hectare bush and parkland reserve that directly connects to bushland along Hunts Creek toward Carlingford providing a large habitat corridor. A popular swimming spot until the 1950's, the reserve is now recognized as one of the most beautiful bushland remnants in Western Sydney. It was originally used as Parramatta's water body until 1909, when the water supply became insufficient for the Town's use. Despite all that, Lake Parramatta remains a popular recreational area.
