Housed in an old heritage building on Merdeka Square in Kuala Lumpur, the National Textile Museum narrates story about the origin and development of textile in the region. Various techniques used in the process as well, are featured in the museum, along with stating significance of them in the rich and diverse heritage of Malaysia. The museum comprises of two galleries namely - Gallery Pelangi and Gallery Pohon Budi which feature origins of textile from pre-historic times. Moreover, the tools, materials and techniques used for textile make as well, are displayed in the museum.
