Build in 1882, Sze Ya Temple is the oldest Chinese temple in Kuala Lumpur which is located behind old shop houses. Dedicated to Shen Kong, its ornate interior and elaborate roof ridges seem typical on the religious grounds of Chinese architecture. Visitors can see the patrons conducting worship in the temple premises. It is said that the temple has witnessed the birth and growth of the city of Kuala Lumpur and hence is considered as one of the significant attractions in the city.
