City: Sydney
Description:

This is the cathedral church for the Catholic Diocese of Parramatta and a dynamic center of worship, prayer, community and mission, which stretches from Granville in the east to Mount Victoria in the west. Although the cathedral was only built in the 1930s it is interesting because it was burnt down in 1995 and rebuilt in 2003; the restoration is marvelous and well worth a visit, especially for the amazing metallic sculpture and design work on the gates and within the church. It also has a statute of Madonna dated around the 1400's.
