Sultanahmet Mosque is a historical mosque which is popularly known as Blue Mosque due to the blue tiles surrounding the interior walls. Built between 1609-1616, this is the only mosque which has six minarets. There are various lamps inside the mosque, which were once covered with gold and gems. Sultanahmet Mosque is also used as a spot to host historical narrative and a light show on summer evenings.
