The Crimean Memorial Church is a beautiful building designed by the English architect George Edmund Street. This building was built to commemorate soldiers who lost their lives during the Crimean War. It was constructed between 1858-68 on the land donated by Sultan Abdulmecit. The lack of a congregation resulted in closing of the church in 1978, but it was reopened in 1991.
